A great salad isn’t just a bowl of lettuce. When done well, salad contains a satisfying mix of textures and flavors that make every bite more delicious than the last.

At Burtons Grill, we are proud salad afficionados, and our Summer Salad Series is a love letter to the artform. We’ve created a lineup of salads that showcase the beauty of summer produce and the wonderful variety the dish can offer. Join us for a six-week exploration of new and classic salad recipes that make salad worthy of being the main course.

We’ll also feature three brand new Spritz cocktails made with Grey Goose Essence vodkas. These fruity & herbal cocktails are perfect for summer sipping, and pair beautifully with our summer salad recipes.

Enjoying a well-made salad and spritz is divine, but being rewarded for it is even better. For every six salads purchased during the Summer Salad Series, {B} Loyal members receive a complimentary seventh salad.

Strawberry Poppy Salad

Week 1 (July 11-17): Strawberry Spinach

The Strawberry Spinach Salad is a classic Burtons Grill recipe that is perfect for summer. The slight bitterness of the spinach is perfectly balanced with sweetness from ripe strawberries & blueberries and our house-made poppyseed dressing. Diced avocado and crumbled feta provide creamy and salty notes, while toasted almonds provide crunch. This salad is the perfect example of every bite being better than the last.

Gem Wedge Salad

Week 2 (July 18-24): Gem Wedge

There’s something about cutting your salad with a knife that makes it extra satisfying. Wedge salads are back in style, and we’re in love with this modern version featuring little gem lettuce. The miniature romaine leaves are stacked high and generously covered with grape tomatoes, red onion, candied bacon, and grated hard boiled egg. The final touch is a sprinkling of everything bagel seasoning and a drizzle of house-made blue cheese dressing.

Asian Chopped Salad

Week 3 (July 25-31): Asian Chopped

Topped with an eye-catching nest of fried wonton strips, this salad is a feast for the eyes and the stomach. A mix of eclectic ingredients – tangy pickled onions, herby cilantro cucumbers, fresh red pepper, and sweet mandarin orange – are dispersed through a bed of thinly sliced romaine and slaw vegetables. However, the real star is our house-made sesame ginger vinaigrette, which melds sweet, savory, earthy, & spicy notes harmoniously together.

Burrata Salad

Week 4: (August 1-7): Tomato Burrata

Crispy prosciutto & creamy burrata – is there a better pair? These two Italian delights are served atop mixed greens, heirloom cherry tomatoes, & cucumbers dressed in lemon vinaigrette and drizzled with pesto. Indulgent without being heavy, this salad is a standout summer favorite.

Watermelon Salad

Week 5 (August 8-14): Watermelon Feta

Watermelon salads are all the rage, and we do it best with a mix iceberg & romaine, grape tomatoes, red onion, and cucumber topped with creamy feta, fresh mint, and toasted almonds. It’s the perfect way to enjoy ripe watermelon – sweet, salty, and with a satisfying crunch. We toss it all with house-made lemon vinaigrette and drizzle with balsamic glaze for a showstopping finish.

Summer Corn
Week 6 (August 15-21): Summer Corn

The grill is the quintessential summer cooking method, and it’s not just for steaks! We love to highlight grilled sweet corn while it’s at its best in the hot summer months. Que the Summer Corn Salad: baby arugula tossed with grilled corn, roasted red peppers, grilled red onion, and grape tomatoes. Fresh cilantro, feta cheese, and a drizzle or sriracha amp up the flavor, while crispy tortilla strips provide the perfect salty, crunchy topping.
